The Commission Process
Starting the Process
If you are interested in booking a commission, first check out my price list and waitlist information on the commissions page. Once you have an idea of what size drawing you would like, and whether you want color or black and white, send me an email that includes exactly what you are looking to have drawn. Keep in mind that the larger the drawing, the more detail I can add. Also be sure to include any reference photos you have. For help on what types of photos I need, check out my photo tips page. If you need help figuring out what size or type of drawing you would like, feel free to get in touch with me and I can help you decide. You can also check out my portfolio for examples of my work.
Once we have discussed and agreed upon the drawing, a 50% deposit is required to hold your spot on my waitlist. This is a non-refundable deposit.
If you have a specific date that you need the drawing by, please contact me as early as possible. I only have a limited amount of commission spots per year, and then tend to book quickly.
The drawing process
Once your drawing is next on my waitlist, I will send you a sketch for approval. This sketch will be the basis of my drawing, so anything that you wish to change should be discussed at this point. After I start working on the drawing, I will send updates so that you have an idea of the timeline for the work. I will also make sure you have a chance to make edits before the drawing is finished.
When you are happy with the final drawing, the remaining payment is due. As soon as the drawing has been paid for in full, I will ship it out.
Shipping
Domestic, standard shipping (anywhere within the U.S.A) is included in the price of the commission. If you wish to ship the drawing faster, you will be responsible for the difference in price.
International shipping over $10 is the responsibility of the client.
All drawings are packaged so they are not bent or smudged during the shipping process.
If you have any questions about the commission process, please do not hesitate to email me!
