Commission Terms and Conditions

By submitting a commission order, you agree to the following:

• If you are providing a reference photo you must have the proper copyright to the photo.  I cannot use a reference photo from a photographer without their permission.  What you may consider a good reference photo may not be right for me to use, therefore I may need more than one reference photo to create the drawing or painting you are looking for.  
• If I am to provide the reference, the photo and the composition will be jointly agreed upon.
• I will provide a sketch for approval.  You may make changes to the sketch, but once the commission is started, only two edits are allowed.
• 50% of the commission fee is a Non-Refundable deposit.  This is required to secure your spot on my commission list.  This does not need to include cost of framing, as this can be agreed upon at a later date.  
• If there is a cancellation by you, the deposit is forfeited.  
• If the cancellation occurs after the completion of the commission, I solely retain 100% ownership and all artist copyright-rights.
• If the cancellation occurs during the work process, it will be my decision to complete the piece or not.  I can then sell it or use it within other artistic endeavors to recoup losses, or to use in my portfolio.
• I have the right to cancel a commission at any time for any reason.  However, if the commission is canceled by me the remaining 50% will be refunded.  
• I also retain the Copyright of all work I completed and you have now in your possession, regardless of the country of origin of the commission.  This includes but is not limited to any and all reproduction rights and the right to claim copyright.
• The painting or drawing (or any work created by me) cannot be reproduced in any manner for any reason without my written consent. 

Commission pricing includes/is subject to the following:

• Above prices include drawing with matting of client's choice. Please remember that size listed above is the actual drawing size. The frame size will be at least one size larger depending on desired matting.
• All prices include taxes and domestic shipping.
• International shipping over $10 is the responsibility of the client.
• Prices for one subject as stated above, with white or single color background. Any additional subjects will add 20% of base price to total cost.
• Backgrounds can be added for an additional 20% (for basic background) or 30% (for detailed background. *subject to change based on background detail.
• Additional sizes may be available upon request, and are subject to price changes
• *Landscape/seascape paintings may be subject to price changes depending on detail of given commission.
